Installation:
Glue-Down Installation
Follow all NWFA installation procedures and guidelines for a glue-down flooring. Also read and
follow all adhesive manufacturers’ recommendation for proper use of their product.
Bostik’s Best Urethane Adhesive, Bostik’s TKO, Mapei’s EcoBond 980 or 990, DriTac’s 7500
Premium EcoUrethane, and W.F. Taylor’s MS-Plus are good products. Read adhesive
instructions carefully for proper trowel size and adhesive set time. Never use the “wet lay” or
“loose lay” method of installing. (This is when you install the flooring immediately after
spreading adhesive.) This method can trap moisture under the floor and can cause the floor
to warp or cup after installation.

Cleaning and Maintenance
The maintenance program for Plyboo flooring is designed to be user friendly. The latest advances
in urethane technology are used in our manufacturing process to help improve product
performance and ease of maintenance. The following simple steps should at least be used to
ensure the best performance and appearance. The use of other products like wax, water or oil
soaps should be avoided and use of any such products is at your own risk.

Calculations:
Reception Room: 20 x 24 = 480 sq. ft.
Conference: 15 x 24 = 360 sq. ft.
Lawyers Office: 15 x 15 = 225 sq. ft
Break/Copy Room: 10 x 13 = 130 sq ft.
Total square footage = 480 + 360 + 225 + 130 = 1195 sq ft.
Plus 10% waste/extra = 1195 x .10 = 119.5
            1195 + 119.5 = 1314.5 sq ft.
21.75 square feet per box = 1314.5/21.75 = 60.43 boxes needed
61 boxes = 21.75 x 5.36$ = 116.58 x 61 = $7,111.38
Total Cost = $7,111.38

Elements and Principles of Design

The elements of design are line, space, shape, form, texture, pattern, color and light.  This interior strongly focuses on line, form, color and light. Starting with the architecture of the room, we are given a strong sense of line with the windows.  The line element is even further emphasized by their color being black.  The architecture is what draws the eye into the space, it is only then that we realize that those are the main straight lines in the room.  The furniture used in the room is made up of completely organic lines.  This is brings in the use of form, which helps bring in a softness to the room.  If we had hard edges to match the architecture of the room, the atmosphere would feel hard and uninviting.  The form of the furniture in not the only important part of the room, color and light are also important.  This room is cohesive with the color scheme being all white, with pops of silver and green, this all helps show off the natural light that the windows allow in.

The Principles of design are balance, rhythm, emphasis, proportion, scale, unity, variety, and harmony.  This room uses emphasis, unity, variety and harmony.  The emphasis of the room is the almost overwhelming use of the color white; it is pulled through with the help of subtle accents of other colors.  That immediately flows into the unity of the room.  The eye bunches like things together with the use of color and texture, this helps with the unity of the room.  Therefore all the furniture is bunched together and separated from the architecture, giving a balance to the room.  The variety comes in through the organic lines of the furniture, and the harsh lines of the windows, it helps add interest into the room.  With unity and variety both being used in this room it brings harmony, giving a relaxing feel to it, and a sense of ease that invites an individual into the room, making it a very successful design.
